Chief Mechanic/General Mechanic

1. Diagnosing faults and equipment defects

2. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts

3. Repair damaged / defective equipment parts

4. Perform major repairs when necessary

5. Performs minor repairs on SSI equipment on site

6. Inspect SSI equipment including genset for proper performance

7. Clean, lubricate and conduct routine services on SSI equipment

8. Consults with co workers on a given task

9. Reports damaged and faulty equipment to management

QUALIFICATION

1. At least High School Graduate

2. Proven work experience as diesel / heavy equipment mechanic

3. Ability to lift heavy machinery

4. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment

5. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

6. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

7. Ability to render overtime if required

8. Ability to read service and repair manuals

9. Willing to relocate from time to time

10. Good communication skills

11. Certificate as heavy equipment mechanic is an advantage
