● Identifying possible flaws in an automobile by using manual and electronic diagnostic procedures.

● Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions to clients.

● Planning work and testing procedures using charts, experience, and other organizational methods.

● Assures that parts and systems are tested to ensure that they function properly.

● Performing basic automobile maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations.

● Repairing or modifying a car to a client’s specifications, if possible.

● Maintain vehicle performance and durability by doing periodic maintenance (changing fluids, lubricating components, etc.).

● Schedule future maintenance appointments and provide people tips on how to drive safely.

● Fix difficulties by repairing or replacing broken or faulty pieces (e.g. leaks)
