Description
- Performs every removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems of the trucks
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes, brake, wheel, tire and battery services, belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement
- Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems
- Assesses trucks’ condition by conducting daily inspections to accurately diagnose and to work on repair issues
- Keeps equipment available at all times for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems during preventive maintenance schedule
- Maintains equipment and truck records by recording services and repairs
- Leads in the actual rescue of trucks due to delays encountered
- Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate
- Fully adheres to the company’s code of discipline
- Performs other tasks that the Head Mechanic and/or Trucking Head may assign from time to time
Requirements
- With professional driver's license with restriction code 1, 2, 3 and 8
- Preferably graduate of any Automotive course
- Knowledgeable in Wing-Van Truck units
- Capable of performing routine Preventive Maintenance
