Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the testing, evaluation, and quality assurance of construction materials used in infrastructure projects. Ensures that all materials comply with DPWH specifications, standards, and testing requirements before and during construction.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the project's Quality Control Testing Plan (QCTP).
  • Conduct and supervise laboratory and field testing of construction materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, cement, and steel.
  • Ensure that all materials comply with DPWH Standard Specifications and Minimum Testing Requirements.
  • Review and approve material submittals, supplier certifications, mix designs, and test reports.
  • Monitor material quality during delivery, storage, and installation on-site.
  • Perform sampling, testing, evaluation, and documentation of construction materials.
  • Prepare technical reports, quality control records, and monthly materials engineer reports.
  • Investigate material failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory and testing equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and QA/QC personnel regarding material compliance issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with approved mix designs and material specifications.
