The Baking Machine Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of baking and food-processing equipment. This role ensures that all baking machines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards to support consistent production.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, operate, and maintain baking and food-processing machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment
• Adjust machine settings to meet production and quality requirements
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, sensors, and controls
• Monitor machine performance during production runs
• Ensure equipment complies with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve efficiency
• Train operators on proper machine use and basic troubleshooting

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (preferred)
• Proven experience as a machine technician, maintenance technician, or similar role (bakery or food industry preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of baking equipment, conveyors, ovens, mixers, and packaging machines
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, or similar)
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
