The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, monitoring, and analysis of import, export, and local logistics operations, including support for local distribution activities. The role ensures efficient and compliant movement of goods from origin to final delivery, covering shipment tracking, port coordination, truck booking, customs and shipping documentation, and logistics performance monitoring. This position provides operational visibility and coordination support to internal business units and external clients utilizing logistics services. It also ensures full delivery execution and proper management of Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Import, Export & Local Shipment Coordination
- Manage end-to-end coordination of import, export, and local shipments from origin to final delivery, including support for local distribution activities.
- For export shipments, coordinate port availability for container pull-out, arrange truck booking from warehouse to port, and ensure vessel cutoff compliance.
- For import shipments, monitor container arrival schedules, coordinate port release, and arrange truck booking from port to warehouse.
- For local distribution, monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely execution of outbound deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, shipping lines, and trucking providers.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and shipping standards.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, and operational concerns.
2. Customs & Documentation Control
- Review and validate import and export shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, permits, and related documents).
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all customs and shipping requirements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant stakeholders for clearance processing and issue resolution.
- Maintain proper documentation filing for audit and compliance purposes.
3. Transport & Delivery Execution
- Arrange and book trucks for import container pull-out, export container delivery, and local distribution requirements.
- Align transport schedules with warehouse loading plans, port schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor deliveries from dispatch until final completion at consignee or destination.
- Ensure timely return, validation, and filing of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Ensure all deliveries are executed in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
4. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor logistics KPIs such as delivery lead time, freight cost, on-time delivery, and service performance.
- Prepare shipment status updates and operational reports.
- Analyze logistics performance and identify delays, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
5. Cost & Service Optimization
- Analyze freight and logistics costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate performance of logistics providers including forwarders, carriers, and trucking partners.
- Support improvements in routing, scheduling, and logistics planning.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal business units and external clients for logistics requirements. Provide shipment visibility and operational updates.
- Ensure alignment of logistics execution with business and client requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import, export, or distribution operations. Export experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end logistics processes and documentation.
- Experience in truck booking and multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Proficient in WMS/ ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
