Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily trip plans and monitor vehicle transfers from port to yard and deliveries to dealerships; occasional field presence may be required.
  • Work closely with Vehicle Yard Operations and Import Operations to prioritize units needed for wholesale and retail targets.
  • Coordinate with port operators, PPA, and other government agencies that influence trucking operations.
  • Ensure timely processing of transactions in the Nissan ERP and work with IT to resolve system issues.
  • Validate and provide initial approval of billing invoices from trucking service providers.
  • Analyze required car carrier capacity based on CBU volume forecasts and load capacity.
  • Address dealership delivery requests or concerns promptly.
  • Generate and analyze logistics performance reports for each dealership.
  • Review and approve manual pullout requests from dealers.
  • Review overtime requests submitted by service providers.
  • Evaluate and initially approve process improvements proposed by trucking providers, dealers, or other NPI departments.
  • File and monitor insurance or trucking claims related to transport incidents.
  • Provide and cascade updated loading/unloading standards and reference materials to trucking providers.
  • Conduct random audits of vehicle conditions at ports, during transit, and upon dealer delivery.
  • Review trucking service provider performance using established KPIs during monthly performance review meetings.
  • Attend internal and external meetings concerning CBU logistics operations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor performance vs. budget (COGS).
  • Implement improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, or reduce logistics costs.
  • Support NMAP Logistics Audit requirements under Trucking Management and ensure compliance.


Job Requirements

  • Must be a 4-year college graduate
  • At least 1 year of experience in Purchasing and LTO transactions
  • Proficient in MS Office and Systems
