Position: Line Cook

Job Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to Green Mustard's standardized recipes, quality standards, and portion specifications. Works efficiently at one or more assigned kitchen stations to ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality food production while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

●      Prepare ingredients and perform mise en place

for assigned kitchen stations before service.

●      Cook and plate menu items according to

standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

●      Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and

organization of the assigned workstation throughout the shift.

●      Follow all food safety, hygiene, and

sanitation standards in accordance with company policies.

●      Monitor inventory levels of assigned

ingredients, particularly poultry and other perishable items, and report

shortages to the Kitchen Supervisor or Head Chef.

●      Apply the First In, First Out (FIFO)

inventory system when storing and using prepared ingredients and food items.

●      Properly label, date, store, and rotate food

products to maintain freshness and food safety.

●      Collaborate effectively with other kitchen

team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during operating hours.

●      Perform opening and closing duties, including

cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.

●      Assist in maintaining equipment and

immediately report any maintenance or safety concerns.

●      Perform other duties assigned by the Head

Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager.
