Job Description

Job Summary

The Licensed Pharmacist provides data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize product distribution, shelving (planograms), pricing, and promotional mix for the health supplements category. He or She analyzes and assesses category performance to develop or enhance marketing, merchandising, and sales plans. The Category Management Associate conducts market-specific assessments of health and wellness competitors, supplement vendors, and customer buying habits to support and influence strategic management decisions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

2.1. Recommends and Implements Category and Marketing Strategies

2.1.1. Assists the Category Management Officer in conducting market-specific assessments of supplement competitors, dietary trends, vendors, and consumer behavior to support data-driven decisions.

2.1.2. Assists in implementing and monitoring marketing, promotional, and visual merchandising strategies specifically tailored for health supplements (Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements - VMS).

2.1.3. Coordinates with vendors and internal teams to conduct product and ingredient trainings for store staff, as needed, to ensure accurate product knowledge.

2.2. Manages Product Inventory and Supply Chain

2.2.1. Monitors and ensures stores maintain optimal stock levels of supplements, minimizing out-of-stock scenarios while managing product expiration dates (FEFO/FIFO).

2.2.2. Collects, reviews, and manages store replenishment orders based on sales forecasts and historical data.

2.2.3. Coordinates with logistics, warehousing, and external supplement vendors to quickly resolve any supply chain bottlenecks or order fulfillment issues.

2.3. General Support

2.3.1. Performs other functions that may be required in support of the company’s wellness objectives and sales targets.

3.4 Store Stock Cover / Inventory Turnover Rate

Qualifications

4.1 Education & Experience

  • BS Pharmacy, BS Nutrition/Dietetics, or related degrees. Must be a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Experience in retail category management or inventory control, preferably within the health, wellness, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sectors, is an advantage.

4.2 Competencies

4.2.1 Financial & Data Analysis: Ability to interpret sales data, margins, and retail KPIs.

4.2.2 Inventory Control: Proficiency in forecasting, stock management, and tracking product shelf-life/expiry dates.

4.2.3 Sales & Merchandising: Knowledge of merchandising theories, planograms, and cross-merchandising strategies for retail health and wellness products.

4.2.4 Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of dietary supplements, wellness trends, consumer buying habits, and regulatory compliance standards for health products.

4.3 Personal Attributes
