Job Description

With dispensing and compounding skills

Description

  • Conducts regular inventory and monitoring of base stock and emergency-cart medicines, including their expiration dates, located in the respective satellite pharmacies
  • Prepares (if necessary), dispenses and ensures the availability of ordered medications in the respective satellite pharmacy
  • Provides written and verbal counseling concerning medication use and other drug information that is suitable to the patient needs
  • Assures the completeness and interprets appropriateness of a medication order or request including age-related factors, before preparing or permitting the distribution of drug products
  • Ensures proper storage and arrangement of antineoplastic drugs in a dedicated, clearly marked storage area

Requirements

  • BS degree in Pharmacy; duly licensed by law to practice pharmacy
  • Fresh graduate or one year hospital / drugstore pharmacy experience, orientation with further hospital pharmacy internship and continuing education
