Job Summary:

The Permitting Officer is responsible for managing and facilitating the application, renewal, and compliance of permits and licenses required by government agencies. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, local government units (LGUs), and national regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate submission of requirements.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Permit Processing & Compliance
  • Prepare and submit applications for permits (e.g., building, occupancy, zoning, environmental, fire safety, business permits).
  • Ensure compliance with requirements from agencies such as DENR, DOLE, BIR, SEC, ERC, BOI, and LGUs.
  • Monitor deadlines and validity periods of permits to avoid lapses.
  • Coordination & Liaison
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and government offices.
  • Coordinate inspections with regulatory agencies and accompany officials during site visits.
  • Follow up on pending applications and resolve issues with government offices.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of all permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • Prepare progress reports identifying barriers, delays, and compliance risks.
  • Assist in drafting feasibility studies and compliance narratives for government submissions.
  • Support Functions
  • Provide guidance to project teams on regulatory requirements.
  • Secure clearances such as Fire Safety Certificates, Environmental Compliance Certificates, and Bldg. Certifications.
  • Ensure smooth processing of permits for new projects, expansions, or renewals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in permitting, compliance, or liaison work with government agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of local and national regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite when required.
