- Facilitates inpatient discharges of planmembers by issuance of letter of guarantee (LOG) upon receipt of hospital’s patient statement of account (SOA) within TAT (turn-around time).
- Work closely with patients and providers to ensure that all hospital documentation such as statement of account (SOA), Philhealth portion are properly deducted.
- Oversees MedProtect Plus & MedProtect Limit accounts, computes benefit limit according to schedule of benefits (SOB) and collects excess charges on benefit (EOB) prior to discharge.
- Discusses with the immediate heads and other key people pertaining to benefits and coverage of insured planmembers for accurate decision-making.
- Reviews and identifies dreaded/complicated illnesses, diagnostic procedures and provide appropriate recommendations for approvals.
- Confers with the Medical Coordinators and accredited Network Provider Physicians regarding medical management and prognosis of confined members.
- Represents the unit in internal and external meetings and submits regular reports and acts as authorized representative of the company.
