Job Summary


 We are seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented In-House Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support across all areas of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting corporate governance, and advising management on legal matters that impact business operations and strategic objectives.


The successful candidate will also initiate creation of manuals, HR related policies, establish update code of discipline ensure compliance. Working closely with management and cross-functional teams, the In-house Legal Counsel will help identify and mitigate legal risks, strengthen contract. governance, resolve legal issues, and provide practical, business-focused legal solutions that support the company's operations and long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities


Legal Advisory

Provide timely and practical legal advice to management and business units on a wide range of legal matters.

Interpret laws, regulations, and industry requirements affecting the company's operations.

Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Contract Management Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including:

Service agreements Vendor and supplier contracts

Customer agreements Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)

Partnership and joint venture agreements

Ensure contracts protect the company's interests while supporting business objectives.

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs

Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Develop and maintain compliance programs and legal policies.

Provide guidance on data privacy, anti-corruption, labor, and corporate governance requirements.

Coordinate with regulatory authorities when necessary.

Support corporate secretarial functions and governance activities.

Assist with board meetings, resolutions, and corporate filings.

Maintain legal records and corporate documentation.

Manage disputes, claims, and legal proceedings.

Coordinate with external counsel when litigation or specialized legal support is required. Prepare legal responses, notices, and settlement agreements.

Employment & Labor Matters

Advise HR and management on employment law matters.

Review employment policies, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.

Assist in resolving employee-related disputes.

Conduct legal risk assessments for new business initiatives, products, and transactions.

Support internal investigations and compliance reviews.

Develop legal awareness and training programs for employees.




Qualifications

Education Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or equivalent law degree.

Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the relevant bar association.


Experience


3–5+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.

Experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, compliance, and regulatory matters.

Experience supporting business operations in a corporate environment is preferred.

Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment abilities.

Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear business terms.

High ethical standards and professional integrity.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience in the company's industry (e.g., technology, finance, )

Knowledge of data privacy and intellectual property law.

Experience handling cross-border transactions and international legal matters.

Compliance certification or corporate governance experience is an advantage.
