Role Description:

• Senior Software Engineer provides technical leadership on backend and data engineering activities for an energy trading product(s)
• The role ensures delivery of secure, high performance applications and data driven capabilities.
• The Senior Software Engineer will guide engineers, collaborate with business stakeholders, and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Computer Science or related courses with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in designing robust web applications in the cloud.
• Experience with serverless and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker).
• Experience using Generative AI to support software development (advantage).
• Strong experience in unit and integration testing.
• Strong expertise in Python (additionally AWS boto3, Django, Flask are an advantage).
• Skilled in designing, deploying, monitoring, and operating scalable, highly available cloud systems
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and automation.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design patterns and modern engineering principles.
• Good understanding of relational/NoSQL databases and big data concepts (advantage).
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript technologies (Node.js, Angular, React, Vue, etc.) (advantage).
• Good understanding of application and network security.
