About Us

US-based insurtech startup helping consumers compare insurance and save money — similar to Jerry.ai. Our MVP is live and we're looking for a senior developer to join our small founding team in Bohol and build out the full product.

This is not a BPO or outsourcing role. You'll work directly with the founder, make real architecture decisions, and build the core product. If you want to be an early employee at a startup rather than a cog in an agency, this is for you.

What You'll Build

• Insurance quote comparison engine with carrier API integrations
• User onboarding and policy management flows
• Cross-platform mobile app (iOS + Android via Capacitor)
• Push notifications, real-time alerts, and user dashboard
• Payment processing and checkout flows

Tech Stack

• Next.js (our core framework)
• React / TypeScript
• Capacitor (iOS and Android builds)
• PostgreSQL (or similar relational DB)
• REST APIs / third-party integrations
• AWS or Vercel for deployment

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with React/Next.js
• Experience building and deploying mobile apps (Capacitor, React Native, or Ionic)
• Strong understanding of API design and third-party integrations
• Database design experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)
• Able to work independently — you'll own features end-to-end
• Based in Bohol OR willing to relocate to Bohol (relocation support available)
• Comfortable working US night shift hours long-term
• Strong English communication (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Experience in insurance, fintech, or any regulated industry
• Previous experience at a startup or small team
• CI/CD pipeline setup experience
• Experience with AI/ML integrations (chatbots, recommendation engines)
• Previous night shift / US timezone work experience

What We Offer

• $1,500 - $2,500/month USD paid via Wise (twice monthly, 1st and 15th)
• Night differential already included in the salary range
• Office space provided in Panglao (optional — you can work from home too)
