  • Material Analysis: Perform laboratory tests (e.g., pH, chloride content, asphalt binder content, cement chemical analysis) to assess material quality and performance.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare raw material samples (aggregates, soil, concrete cores) for testing, including drying, crushing, and sieving.
  • Quality Control & Testing: Conduct physical and chemical tests for asphalt, concrete, and soil, including compressive strength, mix design analysis, and consistency checks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, operate, and maintain lab equipment (e.g., spectrometers, titrators, testing machines).
  • Documentation: Record test data meticulously, analyze results, and prepare technical reports for engineers.
  • Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean work area and strictly adhere to environmental and safety regulations for handling chemicals.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a materials testing laboratory (concrete, soil, asphalt) is preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of ASTM standards, familiarity with MS Office, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be a Licensed Chemical Technician
