Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue laboratory materials, reagents, apparatus, and equipment needed for classes, research, and experiments.
• Assist faculty members, students, and researchers with laboratory requirements and activities.
• Monitor, inspect, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment when necessary.
• Maintain inventories of chemicals, glassware, laboratory supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare and update laboratory records, calibration reports, equipment service logs, and inventory reports.
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of laboratory facilities.
• Observe and enforce laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Coordinate the procurement and replenishment of laboratory supplies and materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related course (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Physics, or related fields).
• Training or experience in laboratory procedures and equipment handling.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and inventory management.
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
