Job Summary:

• A kitchen assistant helps maintain cleanliness, prepares ingredients, and supports the kitchen team in food preparation and service. This role is essential in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and meets hygiene standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, etc.)
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized at all times
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
• Clean food preparation areas, equipment, and kitchen surfaces
• Dispose of waste and ensure proper sanitation procedures
• Help with receiving and storing food deliveries
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed
• Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods

Job Requirements:

• College diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
• Training in food handling or culinary skills is a plus
• Hardworking and reliable
