Associate Accountant

About the Role

KTC Solutions Philippines, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Associate Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Philippine statutory requirements.

You will play a key role in managing accounts payable, employee reimbursements, cash management, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who is proactive, analytical, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process accounts payable, including supplier invoices, payment requests, and disbursements.
• Review and process employee reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Monitor cash balances and assist in cash management activities.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for monthly financial reporting.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules and required documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting and financial concerns.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
• CPA license is not required but is considered an advantage.
• Relevant training or certifications in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, or finance are an advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the complete accounting cycle.
• Working knowledge of Philippine taxation, including Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT).
• Experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash management, and fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
