IT SPECIALIST

The IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, networks, databases, and security-related technologies.

The position covers a broad range of responsibilities including computer operations, hardware and software troubleshooting, network and LAN cabling, system and database development, programming, website administration, CCTV installation and maintenance, user support, equipment deployment, and IT project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, programming, or a related IT role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
• Working knowledge of C++, JavaScript, and SQL is required.
• Experience with database systems, SQL queries, and database maintenance.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of system development, programming, scripting, and software testing.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with LAN cabling, wire installation, and network infrastructure is an advantage.
• Experience in CCTV installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance is an advantage.
• Experience with WordPress and website administration is an advantage.
• Experience with photo and video editing software is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies.
• Willingness to conduct site/project visits when required.
• Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, holidays, and weekends for system deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and emergency IT support when required.
