Description

Work Set up: Hybrid  Work Set Up | Angeles City, Pampanga

Work Shift: Monday to Friday (8 hours) Saturday (4 hours)


Job Summary:

The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to computer system users within the organization. They will answer questions and resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically. This role involves supporting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.


Key Responsibilities:


Technical Support:

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues
  • Resolve issues including computer viruses, hardware failures, and software conflicts
  • Assist users with setting up and configuring new computers and other IT equipment

Network Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
  • Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
  • Assist with network hardware installation and maintenance

Software Support:

  • Install, configure, and update software and operating systems
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Troubleshoot software-related problems

Security:

  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data
  • Perform regular system updates and security patches
  • Educate users on cybersecurity best practices

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions
  • Create and update technical documentation and user guides
  • Provide regular status reports on support activities

Customer Service:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring timely and effective responses to user inquiries
  • Communicate technical information in a user-friendly manner to non-technical users



Requirement

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in an IT support role.

Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or other relevant certifications are desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Familiarity with various software applications and hardware 
  • Basic understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting configuration techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive attitude toward resolving issues
