The Inventory Officer plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating inventory procedure, protocols, and activities. This position is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of stock inventory levels, maintaining accurate records of the inventory transactions, and ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of the stocks to the requesting stores and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory stock levels of both Food and Non-Food items and make sure adequate stocks on hand
  • Ensure stock availability based on store demand forecast and historical data
  • Monitor all incoming stock shipment and arrivals, ensure available storage space at warehouse, and verify actual quantity of the items versus the date indicated in the packing list or delivery receipts
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock usage, stock movement, and discrepancies
  • Monitor and report all aging and near expiry of Food inventory stocks
  • Report stock status, identify issues, and conduct investigation and root cause analysis for any inventory findings
  • Oversee inventory staffs and must ensure that all inventory personnel adhere to the operating policies and inventory control methods implemented by the company - Assign task trackers to Inventory Staffs and ensure deliverable are met on time
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments such as Purchasing, Research and Development, Operations, and Marketing to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely distribution and delivery of stocks
  • Recommend and implement new inventory control methods or technology needed to improve efficiency level
  • Conduct a regular cycle and monthly inventory count
  • Ensure that inventory activities in the warehouse adhere to Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) and Warehouse 5S
  • Prepare the weekly reports of all the activities in the warehouse like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc.
  • Monitor the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse.
  • Oversee the arrangement of goods and ensure it has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement.
  • Ensure the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of any four years course, preferably in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • At least two (2) to five (5) years of work experience in Supervisory level in Warehouse and Inventory or Supply Chain industry
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace
  • Well versed in order processing, inventory and warehouse management
