A Modern Trade Specialist is responsible for managing and growing sales within large retail chains (e.g., supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience store chains). They ensure product availability, visibility, and strong relationships with key retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Management
• Handle major retail accounts (e.g., supermarkets, chain stores)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and store managers
• Sales & Revenue Growth
• Achieve sales targets and KPIs
• Develop strategies to increase product sell-through
• Trade Marketing Execution
• Implement promotions, displays, and in-store campaigns
• Coordinate with marketing teams for product launches
• Merchandising & Visibility
• Ensure proper shelf placement and product availability
• Monitor planograms and compliance in stores
• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Track sales performance and competitor activity
• Prepare reports and recommend improvements
• Negotiation
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, and display agreements with retailers
• Coordination
• Work closely with distributors, logistics, and internal teams

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Sales-driven and target-oriented mindset
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts
• Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising
• Proficiency in:
• Microsoft Excel / reporting tools
• CRM systems (optional but preferred)

Other Requirements

• Willing to do fieldwork and store visits
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Work Location: Within NCR

Preferred (But Not Always Required)

• Experience in FMCG companies
• Knowledge of major retail chains (e.g., supermarkets, convenience stores)
• Background in trade marketing or merchandising

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related
• One to three years experience in FMCG Sales, Key account Management or Retail or Modern Trade environment
