The Junior Design Manager supports the Design Manager in overseeing the Podium Branch’s visual merchandising, design project coordination, and sales initiatives. This role assists in ensuring branch presentation, client service, and project quality meet Genteel Home standards, while developing skills in sales strategy, client relations, and design leadership.

Key Accountabilities

Branch & Visual Merchandising Support

-Assist in maintaining branch cleanliness, asset condition, and display setup.

-Support the creation and updating of vignettes that reflect brand identity.

-Help monitor store presentation to attract foot traffic and enhance customer experience.

Sales Support & Performance Monitoring

-Assist in tracking daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

-Provide initial client assistance, product knowledge, and basic design inputs.

-Support branch initiatives aimed at increasing sales from walk-ins, referrals, and small events.

Project Coordination Assistance

-Help prepare presentations, mood boards, and design documents for client meetings.

-Coordinate with suppliers and contractors under the guidance of the Design Manager.

-Track basic project timelines and report status updates to the Design Manager.

Client Engagement & Service

-Greet clients and ensure a positive showroom experience.

-Gather client requirements and preferences for design projects.

-Assist in follow-ups for quotations, proposals, and project updates.

Administrative & Data Management

-Maintain organized files of sales records, client data, and project documentation.

-Input client and sales data into branch monitoring tools.

-Support marketing and promotional activities when needed.

Education:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related course (fresh graduates welcome; PRC License not required but is an advantage).

Experience:

-At least 1–2 years’ experience in a design-related or client-facing role preferred, but not required for fresh graduates with strong potential.

-Internship or exposure to retail design, furniture, or luxury sales is an advantage.

Skills & Knowledge:

-Basic knowledge of design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.

-Strong organization and time management skills.

-Basic understanding of sales support functions.

Other Requirements:

-Willing to work on flexible shifts (AM, Mid, PM).

-Willing to travel for site visits and client meetings.

-Professional appearance and ability to represent the brand.
