Human Resources Specialist – Remote


Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time / Remote

Location: Remote

Department: Human Resources

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, flexible remote working

Reports To: HR Manager / Head of Human Resources

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience


About the Role


We are looking for a motivated, organised and professional Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team on a fully remote basis.


The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our day-to-day HR operations, with responsibilities covering recruitment, candidate management, employee administration, onboarding, HR documentation and communication.


This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working independently, managing multiple tasks and communicating with both candidates and employees in a professional and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage recruitment activities from the initial vacancy through to candidate selection.
  • Prepare and publish professional job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
  • Review CVs and applications and identify suitable candidates.
  • Conduct initial candidate screening and interviews.
  • Communicate with applicants throughout the recruitment process.
  • Arrange interviews and coordinate availability between candidates and management.
  • Source potential candidates through job boards, LinkedIn and other recruitment channels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
  • Prepare candidate shortlists for management review.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are organised, consistent and professional.

Employee Onboarding

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for newly recruited employees.
  • Prepare and organise employment documentation and onboarding materials.
  • Ensure new employees receive the necessary information, documents and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records.
  • Follow up with new employees during the initial stages of their employment.
  • Work with management to ensure a smooth and professional onboarding experience.

HR Administration

  • Maintain confidential and accurate employee records.
  • Prepare HR letters, documents and internal communications when required.
  • Assist with holiday, absence and employee administration.
  • Update HR databases, spreadsheets and internal systems.
  • Maintain organised digital HR files and documentation.
  • Assist with HR reports and administrative tasks.
  • Monitor important deadlines and ensure HR processes are completed on time.

Employee Relations

  • Act as a professional point of contact for employees regarding general HR matters.
  • Respond to employee questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support management with employee-related administration.
  • Help maintain positive and professional working relationships.
  • Escalate more complex HR matters to the appropriate manager when necessary.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Help ensure HR processes are applied consistently across the organisation.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with employee and candidate information.
  • Ensure HR documentation is properly maintained and organised.
  • Assist with internal HR reviews, reporting and compliance requirements.


Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources, recruitment or HR administration.
  • Good understanding of recruitment and employee administration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Good computer and administrative skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Professional, reliable and responsible approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Good ability to communicate with candidates, employees and management professionally.


Desirable Experience

The following would be an advantage:

  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Experience using LinkedIn and online recruitment platforms.
  • Experience conducting telephone or video interviews.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience preparing employment contracts and HR documentation.
  • Previous experience working within a remote or international organisation.
  • Experience managing recruitment campaigns and candidate pipelines.
