JOB SUMMARY

Responsible in cleaning all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning and ensuring sanitization, sterilization, and cleanliness of patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, offices, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.

1. Cleans assigned areas that focus on maintaining sterility, sanitation, and environmental safety.
2. Gathers and properly dispose of trash from patient rooms, lobbies, bathrooms, stairwells, and other common areas.
3. Performs routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, cleaning windows, and wiping down walls with disinfectant solution or detergents.
4. Makes beds, changes linens, and collects dirty or used linens for laundry.
5. Cleans floors, toilets, sinks, and other surfaces in patient rooms and public areas.
6. Helps in serving and clearing away meals.
7. Launders linens e.g., bed sheets, blankets, pillowcases, and hospital gowns, and ensures sterilization after laundry.
8. Notifies the Maintenance Officer of any necessary repairs in rooms and other areas in the hospital.

Education / Certification and Licenses:

1. At least High School graduate
2. Holder of a valid NCII in Housekeeping

Experience 

1. A minimum of one (1) year experience as Hospital Housekeeper.
