JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview
The Sales Head is responsible for leading the hotel’s sales initiatives, driving revenue growth, expanding the hotel’s client base, and achieving established sales targets. The position develops and executes strategic sales plans, manages key accounts, and leads the sales team in promoting the hotel’s rooms, facilities, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans aligned with the hotel’s revenue and business objectives.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental sales targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through corporate accounts, travel agencies, tour operators, government accounts, groups, events, and other market segments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, business partners, travel industry contacts, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, site inspections, and business development activities.
- Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, room occupancy opportunities, and account productivity.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, account updates, and recommendations to management.
- Develop and maintain an updated database of clients, prospects, and business partners.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Events, Finance, and other departments to ensure proper execution of client requirements and quality service delivery.
- Ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, proposals, contracts, and client concerns.
- Participate in sales presentations, trade shows, networking events, hotel promotions, and other business development activities.
- Recommend promotional activities, packages, and sales initiatives that can increase room sales and overall hotel revenue.
- Monitor customer feedback and market response and recommend improvements to strengthen client satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, sales procedures, and company standards.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in Sales Management, preferably in the hotel, hospitality, tourism, or related industry.
- Experience in hotel sales, corporate accounts, group bookings, travel agencies, and business development is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales strategies, business development, account management, and market segmentation.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong customer relationship management and networking abilities.
- Analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
