Description
- Ensure the maximum availability and reliability of the Heavy & Mobile Equipment (HME) and reduce total maintenance costs through strict implementation of the HME Maintenance plan.
- Prepares corrective and Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS) of HME parts replacements, repairs, and adjustments.
- Monitors and coordinates with purchasing/warehouse regarding spare parts requirements and availability.
- Assists Maintenance plans, objectives, and budget proposals of the department.
- Collect and review the inspection checklist and feedback.
- Inspects and plant equipment frequently enough to determine wear and tear, misalignment, etc, before serious damage is done.
- Make action plans and implement emergency repairs as needed.
- Keep control procedures to ensure future inspection, lubrication, and so on.
- Assist in developing improvements in machinery performance that will make for better operating characteristics, longer wear, and less frequent repairs and adjustments.
- Ensures adherence and compliance with the company's management requirements, policies, and regularization.
- Ensures implementation of safety policies and procedures and good housekeeping within the department.
- Maintains individual equipment history or machine repair records.
- Performs other task that maybe assigned by my superior from time to time.
- Supervises Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) operator and works closely with Maintenance, for timely usage & maintenance of HME.
- Works closely with the production supervisor for timely execution of plant scheduled (PMS) and shutdowns
- Works closely with the Human Resources Supervisor/Manager for learning and development, succession planning, and promoting a professional plant image in a standard and consistent manner across the business.
Requirements
- A graduate of any engineering course
- A licensed Mechanical Engineer is an asset.
- Minimum Experience/ Training required: At least two (2) years experience
- Competency required: Adept in the execution of Heavy & Mobile Equipment (HME) corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
