Offset Operator

An offset operator sets up, operates, and maintains offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring accurate color, registration, and consistency. Key responsibilities include mounting plates, loading ink/paper, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance to meet production schedules. 

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Configure, adjust, and operate offset printing presses, including mounting plates/cylinders, filling ink fountains, and adjusting registration.
• Quality Control: Monitor production to detect defects, such as color inconsistencies or misregistration, ensuring output meets specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition and minimize downtime.
• Workflow Efficiency: Review job orders, prepare materials, and ensure the press is properly supplied with ink and paper to maintain continuous operation.
• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot mechanical issues during production and adjust settings to correct issues.

Qualifications

• Experience: Generally requires 2–3+ years of experience in offset printing.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read job orders.
• Education: High school diploma or vocational training in printing technology.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Manufacturing Industry is advantage.
