General Ledger Specialist/Expert

The General Ledger Expert is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records by managing general ledger activities, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while supporting financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare balance sheet and selected P&L account reconciliations
• Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger or record-to-report functions
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
