General Accounting Team Lead

Overall Description

Accountable for the delivery and integrity of General Accounting processes and leads the team through month-end close; ensures consistency in accounting policies; acts as primary escalation point for complex accounting processes and collaborates with regional finance stakeholders.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field desirable
• 5-6+ years of work experience in General Accounting
• Management of month-end closing, review of activities, financial reporting and analyses
• Experience in leading accounting professionals and driving process improvement initiatives
• Experience in transitions, stabilization and ERP implementation preferred
• NetSuite experience is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee General Accounting processes including month-end close activities and financial statements
• First point of contact for General Accounting issues
• Manage closing process, reconciliations, adjustments and eliminations
• Responsible for high-quality and timely financial reporting
• Engage stakeholders and provide regular updates
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with FP&A, AR and AP teams
• Contribute to process optimization initiatives
