Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Game Mathematician role based in Taguig. The primary responsibilities include designing and analyzing mathematical models for gaming systems, ensuring proper probability structures, and developing innovative gameplay mechanics. The Game Mathematician will collaborate with designers, developers, and other team members to optimize the balance and functionality of games for both user experience and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics
• Proficiency in Physics and Analytical Skills
• Knowledge of Computer Science and programming for creating, testing, and refining game algorithms
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex mathematical models
• Team collaboration experience and excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in the gaming or software development industry is an advantage

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2 years and up experience as Game Mathematician.
• Strong understanding of mathematics, statistics, and probability theory.
• Knowledge of computer science principles and their application to game development.
• Ability to model, predict, and optimize player behavior using mathematical techniques.
• Experience with game mechanics design and balancing.
• Familiarity with game development tools and programming languages such as Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for games and a deep understanding of what makes gameplay engaging and fun.
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in game development or a similar role.
• Experience with data analysis and game testing.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
