Trucking Services Manager

Planning and Coordination

• Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with organizational goals. 

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly routes for optimal efficiency. 

• Coordinate with staff, drivers and other stakeholders. 

• Manage the dispatch of trucks and monitor trip progress. 

Operational Management

•Oversee the day-to-day operations of the trucking fleet. 

• Monitor transportation costs 

• Manage and resolve any operational issues or delays. 

Fleet Management

• Maintain and schedule maintenance for transportation vehicles. 

• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety standards. 

• Track vehicle maintenance and repair needs. 

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. 

• Implement and maintain safety procedures for drivers and equipment. 

• Conduct safety audits and training sessions. 

Financial Management

• Develop and manage transportation budgets. 

• Monitor and report on transportation expenses. 

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor transportation staff. 

• Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. 

Communication

• Communicate effectively with drivers, stakeholders, and management. 

• Prepare and present regular reports on transportation performance. 

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.

• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

• Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or fleet management. 

• Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or fleet management.

• Experience in waste management and sanitary landfill is an advantage
