The Driver / Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transport, handling, storage, and movement of goods, materials, and company personnel. This role ensures timely deliveries and pickups, accurate warehouse operations, and proper documentation. The position also upholds high standards of safety, cleanliness, customer service, and teamwork while representing the company in a professional manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Vehicle Operation, Inspection, and Maintenance

• Performs routine vehicle checks (oil, brakes, lights, tire pressure, etc.).
• Reports mechanical issues or damages promptly.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and ensures proper functionality.
• Adheres to traffic rules, driving regulations, and company vehicle policies.

2. Delivery, Pickup, and Transport

• Ensures accurate and timely delivery or pickup of goods, documents, or personnel.
• Verifies delivery receipts, waybills, and required signatures.
• Handles items carefully to avoid loss or damage.
• Plans and follows optimal routes to meet schedules and deadlines.

3. Loading and Unloading

• Safely assists in loading and unloading goods.
• Ensures correct handling of fragile, heavy, hazardous, or perishable items.
• Uses appropriate equipment such as dollies, forklifts (if trained), and straps to secure loads.

4. Warehouse Receiving and Inspection

• Unloads incoming deliveries and verifies quantity and quality against purchase orders or delivery documents.
• Inspects goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies and reports issues promptly.
• Labels and records received items in inventory systems.

5. Storage, Organization, and Inventory Management

• Organizes and stores goods in designated warehouse areas following layout and safety standards.
• Conducts stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Updates inventory records and identifies slow-moving, damaged, or expired items.

6. Order Picking, Packing, and Shipping

• Picks, packs, and prepares orders based on picking lists or customer requirements.
• Ensures items are securely packed to prevent transport damage.
• Loads goods onto delivery vehicles and verifies all shipping documents before dispatch.

7. Customer Service and Company Representation

• Acts courteously and professionally when dealing with clients, customers, or the public.
• Communicates delays, issues, or concerns appropriately.
• Represents the company positively at all times during deliveries or public interactions.

8. Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance

• Keeps the warehouse clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
• Follows health, safety, and security regulations for driving and warehouse operations.
• Adheres to company policies regarding vehicle use, warehouse processes, and documentation.

9. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintains accurate trip logs, mileage reports, fuel records, receipts, and dispatch documents.
• Keeps proper records of warehouse receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
• Submits daily activity reports and assists with monthly stock movement and discrepancy reports.

10. Team Support and Problem-Solving

• Assists colleagues with warehouse duties such as lifting, packing, sorting, and organizing.
• Works closely with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators.
• Responds calmly to unexpected issues (vehicle breakdowns, delays, route changes) and makes responsible decisions in urgent situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 1 year experience as a Forklift Operator and 2 years or more driving company vehicles/light trucks.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License (Class A & B) with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation.
• Experience in a solar company is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting or moving heavy items.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• The incumbent will be assigned in Gracepark North Caloocan
