General Construction Foreman

The Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities while actively participating in hands-on construction work. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications, while leading by example through direct involvement in site operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead construction workers on-site.
• Perform hands-on construction tasks alongside the crew as required.
• Assign daily work activities and monitor productivity and work quality.
• Ensure all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Inspect ongoing work and maintain quality standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site construction issues.
• Train and mentor workers on proper construction methods and safety procedures.
• Maintain daily records of site activities, workforce attendance, and project progress.
• Communicate project updates, concerns, and resource requirements to management.
• Assist in site preparation, installation, repair, and other construction-related activities as needed.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Support project completion within established timelines and budget requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in construction work with supervisory or foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• Physically capable of performing manual construction work.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
