Position Title: Construction Foreman

Department: Construction / Operations

Reports To: Project Engineer / Project Manager

Employment Type: Full-time / Project-based

Job Summary:

The Construction Foreman oversees and supervises construction site operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The role involves managing workers, coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Assign tasks to construction workers (masons, carpenters, installers, laborers) and monitor their performance
  • Inspect work progress and ensure quality of workmanship
  • Maintain discipline and enforce site rules, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers regarding work progress, manpower, and material requirements
  • Monitor use of tools, equipment, and materials to minimize waste and loss
  • Resolve on-site issues, delays, and conflicts among workers
  • Prepare daily site reports, including manpower attendance, work progress, and issues encountered
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE Labor Standards (e.g., working hours, overtime, rest days) and DOLE OSH requirements
  • Act as liaison between management and construction workers, ensuring clear communication of instructions

Qualifications:

  • At least High School Graduate; Vocational or Technical certification (e.g., TESDA NC II/III in Carpentry, Masonry, or related field) is an advantage
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Physically fit and willing to work on-site for extended hours as required
  • Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and compliance

Work Location & Schedule:

  • Assigned construction project site
  • Mondays to Saturdays, with overtime or Sunday work as required (in compliance with the Labor Code of the Philippines)
