A Construction Foreman serves as the lead on-site supervisor, overseeing daily construction activities and guiding skilled workers and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role involves reviewing technical drawings, allocating daily work assignments, supervising workmanship quality, enforcing safety standards (including proper PPE use), and providing regular updates to Project Engineers. Ideal candidates have at least five years of practical experience, strong people-management skills, and solid knowledge of construction practices.


Responsibilities:


  • On-Site Supervision: Lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate workers, and monitor the proper use of tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Work Planning & Scheduling: Carry out construction tasks in accordance with approved plans, drawings, and project timelines.
  • Safety & Quality Compliance: Implement and enforce safety policies, identify potential hazards, and ensure work meets quality requirements.
  • Resource Coordination: Oversee the efficient use of materials, manpower, and equipment while minimizing waste and delays.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Communicate site progress, issues, and updates to project engineers, managers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Training & Mentorship: Coach, train, and support construction personnel to improve performance and site efficiency.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Educational Background: Vocational or technical course related to construction.
  • Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a foreman, construction supervisor, or equivalent position.
  • Core Skills: Proficient in reading construction drawings and plans; strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction standards, methods, and local safety regulations.
  • Physical Capability: Able to handle physically demanding tasks in an active construction site environment.
