The Food Scientist will lead the development of food-to-go / ready-to-eat products. This role will be responsible for creating, testing, and standardizing recipes either in-house or in collaboration with outsourced suppliers, ensuring products meet standards for quality, safety, shelf life, and commercial scalability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve ready-to-eat / food-to-go recipes aligned with the company's brand, target market, and nutritional positioning
  • Conduct product formulation, trials, and sensory evaluations
  • Work closely with outsourced suppliers / commissaries to co-develop or refine products
  • Ensure recipes are scalable, cost-efficient, and suitable for commercial production
  • Lead shelf-life testing, packaging recommendations, and storage conditions
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA Philippines requirements)
  • Create and maintain standard recipes, specifications, and SOPs
  • Collaborate with Operations, QA, Procurement, and Marketing teams
  • Support product launch timelines and continuous product improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in food product development, RTE foods, or food manufacturing
  • Strong experience in recipe development and commercialization
  • Knowledge of local food regulations and food safety standards
