Job Description
- Developing innovative seasoning blends based on market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conducting sensory analysis and laboratory tests to assess flavor, stability, and quality.
- Refining formulations to enhance flavor, shelf life, and cost-effectiveness.
- Investigating new ingredients, flavor compounds, and processing techniques.
- Maintaining accurate records of formulations, test results, and process modifications.
- Making sure products meet safety standards, regulations, and labeling requirements.
- Working with production, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure product feasibility and alignment with market needs.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Assisting in transitioning formulations from lab scale to production scale.
- Monitoring consistency and quality of seasoning products during development and production.
- Bachelor’s degrees in food science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Knowledge of flavor chemistry, ingredient interactions, formulation techniques, and sensory evaluation.
- Prior work in flavor formulation, seasoning development, or related food product innovation.
- Access to analytical equipment like GC-MS, HPLC, and sensory analysis panels for testing and validation.
- Understanding of food safety standards, permissible ingredients, and labeling regulations.
- Ability to develop unique flavor profiles aligned with market trends.
- Partnerships with flavor houses, ingredient suppliers, and academic institutions for cutting-edge research.
