Finance and Accounting Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₱30,000.00 – ₱35,000.00 per month

Job Summary

The Finance and Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the company. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely completion of accounting processes, proper cash flow monitoring, compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and effective internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-driven leader who can effectively supervise the Finance and Accounting team, provide guidance and support, maintain discipline and accountability, and ensure that all financial and accounting concerns are properly addressed.

The Finance and Accounting Supervisor is expected to lead with authority and professionalism and ensure that pending issues are resolved and properly endorsed before the end of each business day to support smooth and organized operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinance and Accounting Operations

• Supervise daily finance and accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, and financial reporting.
• Review accounting and financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure that accounting records and supporting documents are properly updated, organized, and maintained.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning and budgeting activities.
• Ensure timely processing of payments, collections, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
• Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding finance and accounting-related concerns.

Financial Management and Reporting

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely financial and operational reports.
• Monitor the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, payables, and other financial obligations.
• Assist during audits, financial reviews, and management reporting.

Team Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise, guide, and support the Finance and Accounting team in achieving departmental objectives.
• Delegate tasks effectively while monitoring productivity, accuracy, and completion of work.
• Conduct regular coaching, performance monitoring, and feedback sessions.
• Promote accountability, discipline, and compliance with company rules and procedures.
• Address issues promptly and make sound decisions to maintain efficient operations.
• Conduct daily alignment with the team to prioritize tasks and resolve outstanding concerns.

Internal Controls and Compliance

• Implement and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements, government regulations, and company policies.
• Review financial and accounting documents for completeness and accuracy before approval.
• Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and minimize financial risks.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure organized turnover of work for the next business day.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Accounting Technology, or any related field.
• CPA license is an advantage but not required.

Experience

• At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience in handling the full accounting cycle and supervising a Finance and Accounting team.
• Experience in cash flow monitoring, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, finance, and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.
