About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Officer to join our growing finance team. This is a senior-level position suited to an accounting or finance professional with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting tax and payroll processes, and managing multiple financial requirements. You should be confident working independently, managing deadlines, reviewing financial information, and taking ownership of your responsibilities. Experience using Xero and QuickBooks is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
• Process invoices, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions
• Assist with accounts preparation, month-end, and year-end activities
• Prepare financial reports and provide updates to management
• Review financial information and identify discrepancies or issues
• Support the preparation of VAT and tax-related returns
• Assist with payroll processing and administration
• Support CIS calculations and submissions where required
• Assist with statutory and regulatory filings

What We're Looking For:

• 3–5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts preparation, and financial reporting
• Experience with payroll, VAT, tax, or statutory compliance is highly desirable
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks is highly preferred
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
