Finance Manager – Job Description

Position Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, overseeing Accounting and Treasury functions to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and sound financial planning. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to the Finance Department and serves as a key partner to senior management in decision-making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Management & Leadership

·      Provide overall leadership and direction to the Accounting and Treasury teams, including the Accounting Manager and Treasury Manager.

·      Establish financial goals, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives.

·      Review departmental performance, workload distribution, and staff development plans.

·      Ensure continuity, efficiency, and segregation of duties within finance operations

Accounting Oversight

·      Oversee the integrity and accuracy of accounting records, general ledger, and financial statements.

·      Review and approve monthly management reports prior to submission to management.

·      Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

·      Monitor intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments.

·      Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

·      Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Treasury & Cash Management

·      Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and funding requirements.

·      Review cash flow forecasts and ensure availability of funds to meet operational and debt obligations.

·      Oversee banking relationships, loan facilities, and financing arrangements.

·      Ensure compliance with loan covenants, interest payments, and repayment schedules.

·      Review and approve significant disbursements and treasury transactions.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

·      Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.

·      Analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods.

·      Support strategic planning, investment analysis, and cost control initiatives.

Compliance, Controls & Risk Management

·      Establish and enforce strong internal controls across accounting and treasury operations.

·      Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

·      Review and enhance finance-related policies and approval limits.

·      Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Reporting & Management Support

·      Prepare and present consolidated financial and management reports to senior leadership.

·      Provide financial analysis to support business decisions, projects, and expansions.

·      Act as a key financial adviser to management on operational and strategic matters

Qualifications:

·    Must be a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with valid license.

·    Must have at least minimum of 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience.

·    Must be willing to undergo a pre‑employment background check.

·    Must be willing to undergo pre-employment medical examination.

·    Strong knowledge of financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.

·    Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

·    Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
