Description
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll etc.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the accounting team.
- Stay updated on industry
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Finance Officer or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices including GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using accounting software systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance is a plus.
