Description

Finance Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.
  • Record and manage daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Invoicing & Collections:
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients, and follow up on payments.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Expense Management:
  • Process employee reimbursements and manage company expenses.
  • Monitor and control budget expenditures.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for internal and external audits.


Human Resources (HR) Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Assist in job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Employee Records Management:
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Payroll Administration:
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and other perks.
  • Assist in the communication and administration of employee benefits.
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Provide support in resolving employee inquiries and issues.
  • Assist in the organization of company events and team-building activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar dual-role capacity, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.


Work Environment:

  • This role may involve a combination of remote work and in-office work depending on company policies.
  • The position requires someone who can adapt to the dynamic nature of a startup, where flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.
