The Equipment Section Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of various equipment and machinery used within the organization. This role involves supervising a team of technicians or mechanics, planning preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, ensuring operational efficiency, and enforcing safety standards. The supervisor plays a key role in minimizing downtime, extending equipment life and supporting uninterrupted operations through effective asset management and team leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and Monitor the activities/routine of Equipment Site Supervisor/OIC and Equipment HO Staff.
• Monitor/Review the repair and PMS of vehicles and equipment under Logistics and Equipment Section.
• PR generation of parts and other materials used in repair and maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Reporting weekly to the Equipment and Asset Manager about the equipment and vehicles condition and other issues and concerns of the Equipment Section.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (College Level or Graduate)

Experience:

• At least 3 years of relative experience as Equipment Section Supervisor

Technical Competencies ("Know-how"):

• Equipment Operation and Maintenance Planning
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with the operation and servicing of heavy machinery, plant equipment, or production tools
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Planning
• Ability to schedule and manage maintenance programs
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Skills
• Proficient in identifying faults and root causes of equipment malfunctions
• Use of diagnostic tools and interpreting error codes or mechanical symptoms
• Maintenance Cost Analysis and Budgeting
• Ability to monitor and control maintenance expenses
• Use of KPIs to optimize cost-efficiency and equipment lifecycle
