Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utility systems, and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems while maintaining compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machines and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Install, adjust, and maintain motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other production equipment.

Electrical Maintenance

• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, motor control systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Star-Delta (Wye-Delta) motor starters, magnetic contactors, overload relays, and motor control circuits.
• Perform electrical testing using a multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, and other diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ensure electrical systems comply with company standards and applicable electrical codes.

HVAC and Utility Systems

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Fan Coil Units (FCUs).
• Monitor chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including cleaning filters, coils, blowers, and condensers.
• Diagnose issues affecting cooling efficiency, airflow, and temperature control.
• Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs and overhauls when required.

Utilities Maintenance

• Maintain plant utility systems including:
• Air compressors
• Water supply systems
• Electrical distribution systems
• HVAC systems
• Chillers
• AHUs and FCUs
• Monitor utility equipment performance and report abnormalities.

Preventive Maintenance

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance program.
• Complete maintenance checklists and document work performed.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules and equipment reliability.
