JOB PURPOSE:

The Electrical and HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of all electrical systems and air conditioning units across the resort and marina facilities.

This role supports guest comfort, safety, and operational excellence by delivering timely technical services and preventive maintenance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Electrical:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment, eg. Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Booster Pumps, Submersible Pump, and Generators
• Conduct preventive maintenance on lighting systems, power distribution, and backup generators.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and resort policies.
• Assist in the installation of new electrical systems for renovations or expansions.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Ensure cleanliness in assigned spaces and working areas.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems:

• Installation and maintenance of air conditioning units, split-type systems, and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair heaters, air conditioning units, split-type systems, motors, pumps, condensers, and controls.
• Perform routine cleaning, filter replacement, and refrigerant checks.
• Monitor energy efficiency and recommend improvements to reduce consumption.
• Respond promptly to all guest room and facility’s any electrical and cooling/heating concerns.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and specialized servicing when needed.

General Duties:

• Support resort operations by ensuring uninterrupted power and climate control.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and other department teams on cross-functional tasks.
• Provide emergency response for electrical or HVAC breakdowns.
• Uphold safety protocols and contribute to staff training on equipment use.
• Report directly to the Engineering Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical/Vocational Diploma or NC II/III Certification in Electrical or Air Conditioning Technology.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical and HVAC maintenance, preferably in hospitality or commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, marina facilities).
• Good communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
