Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to lead on-site activities for our electrical and solar power projects. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of site electrical works, ensuring all installations align with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role requires a professional with a strong field presence and deep technical knowledge of solar PV systems.


Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Execution:

1. Directly supervise on-site electrical installations, including wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and power distribution systems.

2. Coordinate daily site activities for electricians, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure maximum productivity.

3. Monitor project progress against schedules and prepare daily/weekly accomplishment reports for management.


Quality Control & Compliance:

1. Verify that all electrical works comply with national/local electrical codes and safety regulations.

2. Perform rigorous inspections of incoming materials and completed installations to ensure they meet quality standards.

3. Review and validate electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and "as-built" drawings.


Stakeholder Coordination:

1. Liaise with project managers, consultants, and utility providers regarding grid connections and permits.

2. Maintain professional communication with clients and provide technical guidance on system operation.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • License: Registered/Licensed Electrical Engineer is highly preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on site experience in electrical construction.
  • With proven track record in solar PV projects preferably (commercial, industrial, or utility-scale).


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar simulation software (e.g., PVSyst or HelioScope).
  • Strong knowledge of power generation, distribution systems, and solar PV technology.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Availability: Must be willing to be assigned to various project sites and work long hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
