I. Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer (Site/O&M) is mainly responsible for oversight of end-to-end deployment of solar energy projects and O&M operations. When needed, they may also be called on to assist with ad-hoc electrical engineering works for more conventional building electrical systems.


II. Responsibilities:


A. Deployment:
Can do basic Solar PV System Design Proposal for the client, including design of electrical panel, distribution panel, and substation control panels.
Prepare and make technical changes on electrical line diagrams.
Plan and prepare for termination and connection of electrical wiring both on DC and AC.
Connections of solar panels to inverters, circuit breakers, protective device, Medium and high voltage transformers.
Wiring and termination work on other electrical accessories.
Troubleshooting and maintaining solar power systems, including diagnosing and fixing electrical problems with solar modules, inverters, batteries, and other components.


B. Operations:
Monitoring of telemetry data and technical inspection reporting
Validation of technical benchmarks and early detection of potential issues based on available data
Scheduling and coordination of relevant work requirements for technician site visits.
Assist in maximizing efficiency by analyzing data on energy production and using this to identify areas for improvement in the design or operation of a solar power system.


III. Scope of work:
Designing and testing electrical systems for solar power generation: This involves designing the circuitry and RSD used in solar modules, as well as the wiring and electrical components used to connect solar modules to a power grid, load, main panel, or battery.
Connection of solar panels, crimping and fabrication of connectors.
Installation of inverters, protective device, and accessories.
Installation of cable tray, electrical conduit, and panel boards.
Installation of the AC combiner box and AC distribution box.
Do Commissioning of inverter and system settings.
Create, configure and do training on troubleshooting, maintenance, and energy management system after the installation.
Regular monitoring of telemetry, yield forecasting, and reporting
Regular preventive maintenance reviews and corrective work order coordination
Other ad-hoc site and O&M tasks as needed 


IV. Qualifications:

Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer (REE)

Must have a reliable knowledge and background in solar design (3-5 years approximate)
