Site Electrical Engineer (Solar & BESS Construction)

• Location: Ajuy / Barotac Viejo, Iloilo (On-site)
• Salary: PHP 30,000 – PHP 35,000 per month

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a motivated Registered Electrical Engineer to oversee the day-to-day installation and construction activities of our 99-MWp hybrid solar and battery storage facility in Iloilo. You will ensure that subcontractors install all electrical infrastructure—including PV arrays, inverters, and medium-voltage cables—safely, on schedule, and according to design blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision: Monitor sub-contractor progress for solar racking, module placement, inverter installation, and cable trenching.
• Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections to ensure all electrical works comply with approved shop drawings and the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC).
• Testing Support: Assist in early continuity testing, insulation resistance tests (meggering), and grounding system verification.
• Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly progress logs, noting any material shortages, safety issues, or design deviations.
• Coordination: Act as the primary on-site link between the project management office and field laborers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• License: Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) in the Philippines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in substation and transmission line construction projects.
• Must have experience in 69kV/138kV or higher voltage level substation and transmission line projects.
• Familiar with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures for high-voltage systems.
• Can interpret the eletrical drawings.
• Knowledgeable in IEC, IEEE, and local grid code standards.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and related engineering software.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Working-level English communication skills required.
• Experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
